19th c. Laotian Buddha with Elephants This is a very heavy bronze and lead Buddha from Northern Laos near the Burmese border. The Buddha has a sublime face with the typical Laotian tight hair knots and elongated ears. The addition of four highly venerated elephant heads adorning the base makes this a unique piece. SOLD
