Antique Spanish Colonial Madonna Inmaculada

This is a beautiful depiction of Santa Maria. The Virgen Madonna has been carved from wood and polychromed with cloth and wire arms that would have aided in dressing the Virgin Madonna at one time. The Virgin has been further adorned with glass eyes and a beautiful colonial silver crown. The Virgen Inmaculada is a fine devotional piece, deeply rooted in colonial history and is an important facet of culture and religion in the New World - a beauty!
